Radical healing for queer & neurodivergent lives
Hi! My name is Kayleigh (they/them), and I am a licensed therapist in Arizona who is queer and neurodivergent (ADHD). I started True Form therapy to help others with “neuroqueer” identities to live their most fulfilling and authentic lives. Too often, people in our communities experience pressure to “be normal” and fit into a box that wasn’t made for us, leading us to shrink the most unique parts of us and disconnect from our sense of self. I believe that healing from mental illness and trauma is not possible when we are keeping part of ourselves hidden. My goal is to empower people to be radically and authentically themselves, build skills to cope with challenges, and live a more rich & meaningful life.

Anti-capitalist activism and liberation

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
I use DBT distress tolerance skills to help clients to cope with overwhelming emotions and reduce harmful behaviors such as self harm, substance use, anger outbursts, etc. I also teach emotion regulation skills to help clients to understand the function of their emotions and how emotions influence behaviors.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy looks at how our life experiences have shaped our core beliefs about ourselves and the world. I help clients to identify how limiting core beliefs impact their behavior and motivation, and help to develop more balanced and adaptive core beliefs.
Somatic Therapy
I use somatic therapy to help clients to build awareness of where they feel emotions in their body, and teaching body-based relaxation skills to alleviate physical symptoms related to anxiety, trauma and chronic pain.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients to explore their values and use those values to build a more meaningful and fulfilling life. ACT also emphasizes the importance of acceptance that suffering is a part of life that is unavoidable, but we can build skills to respond to pain and challenges in a more flexible and adaptive way.
Feminist + Gender-Affirming Therapy
I help my clients to understand their individual gender identity, deconstruct traditional ideas about masculinity/femininity, increase gender-affirming social support, and embrace feelings of gender euphoria.

From a young age, I was passionate about helping others. My own struggles with mental health led me to want to be a therapist. I started by getting my bachelor’s in psychology, but I didn’t agree with the individualistic view of mental health that was often centered in my program. We can’t possibly separate the person from their environment, and I found that psychology didn’t address oppression and social justice issues adequately. Thus, I got my master’s in social work to fill in this large gap that I felt was missing from my training.
My work in the field started primarily in substance abuse treatment, working in a residential rehab facility and an outpatient Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) center for opioid use. In my master’s program, I interned as a group therapist at a therapeutic group home for boys ages 10-17. After I obtained my master’s and licensure, I started working at an integrated mental health facility on the LGBTQ specialty team, where I gained experience writing readiness assessments for adolescents to start Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
I started my private practice in 2025, largely due to the anti-trans policies that were adopted by nearly all mental health agencies in the Phoenix area, including my place of work. I viewed this as cowardly pre-emptive compliance with unjust executive orders from the Trump administration restricting gender affirming care. I am an activist first and foremost, and I am not comfortable working for agencies which conflict so strongly with my morals. As an anti-capitalist, I got tired of other people making millions of dollars from my unpaid labor. So, I decided to take the leap and go independent, in order to honor my personal values and bring my most authentic self to my clients in therapy! I am honored and excited to be a safe space of mutual growth with my community.
